The first is based on the idea that everyday objects should be aesthetic items but primarily functional, made in an elegant, simple style—with symmetrical lines, from solid materials, where each element is carefully thought out in the final form.
Art Nouveau is the complete opposite of Thistle—decorative items that combine functionality and artistic craftsmanship, elaborate Art Nouveau style, and asymmetry.
