Description
Playing with striking patterns and bold shapes, Malabar designers have created a fun and theatrical dining chair. The Fyoo Cher dining chair, handcrafted from walnut wood by Portuguese artisans, is upholstered with cotton velvet and patterned textiles.
Free from the rules of mixing patterns and shapes, this postmodern dining chair offers a new way to explore interior spaces where authenticity is key. The Fyoo Cher dining chair transforms the dining room from modern to artistic, reflecting the style of any decorative space. Designed by Malabar, the Fyoo Cher dining chair is part of the Future Classics collection.
Malabar was founded in 2012, alongside the launch of a wide range of decorative Fado guitars and the elegant World Architects furniture collection. It has designed and released a total of 5 exceptional furniture and accessory series.
Malabar has made its mark at major international fairs such as 100% Design London, Maison & Objet, Decorex, Stockholm Furniture Fair, and Seoul International. These are among the top venues for showcasing innovative design.
Malabar’s furniture production originates from the Porto region in northern Portugal, an area with a long and strong tradition of handcrafted products.
The identity of this prestigious brand is rooted in the architectural and artistic heritage of the past five centuries. International experience and a pursuit of perfection are the details that guide such original companies. Emotions, handcrafted craftsmanship, and space-inspired design create an explosive mix of luxurious furniture. Various techniques for working with natural wood produce incredible effects, as seen in Malabar’s exceptional collections.
An important aspect of their design is the combination of neutral and black colors. Vivid and bold hues dominate, significantly diverging from classic and stereotypical furniture. Besides wood, the manufacturer uses brass, gold and silver leaf, and other high-quality raw materials. The Portuguese soul is very colorful and fascinating, clearly reflected in their daring furniture designs.
The company's name derives from Malabar black pepper. Along with other spices, it changed the course of trade history after the discovery of the Cape. The value of original spices prompted Portuguese merchants to chart bold sea routes. This remains true today, as Malabar continues to define highly individual design boundaries and evoke strong emotions with its projects. Their designs are very liberated, seductive, daring, and extremely luxurious.
