Entirely crafted by Arnstadt Kristall, a manufacturer that has been creating its history since 1947, when Heinrich Arlt, a resident of northern Bohemia, along with his family, decided to move to Arnstadt and open a family workshop.
The small workshop gradually expanded its operations, and over time, glass production was replaced with more beautiful crystal products.
Arnstadt crystal is characterized by 24% lead oxide. Thanks to its extraordinary optical properties, including a significantly increased refractive index, lead glass has a characteristic shine and is said to be more beautiful than diamonds.
The manufactory was relocated north of Arnstadt. Today, the factory operates there under the supervision of the founder's daughter, Gerda Heller.
The work in accordance with craftsmanship holds great importance for German artisans, as it allows them to continually discover the concept of beauty and enhance their products.
