The origins of Warp & Weft’s New York operations date back to 2001. It was then that Michael Mandapati decided to establish this exceptional place.
The production uses raw materials such as Himalayan wool, mulberry silk, as well as nettle, hemp, and linen. For dyeing – plants, which is a very eco-friendly processing method and will surely appeal to those who care about ecology.
Each product was made in Nepal, where highly skilled artisans craft them by hand. Afterwards, the rugs are transported to Switzerland, where they are finished, gaining a unique appearance. Thanks to an increased content of lanolin, they are softer, more stain-resistant, and acquire a remarkable shine.
The variety of patterns ensures that everyone in the Warp & Weft collection will find a gem that suits the most refined tastes.
