Founded by Benedikt Taschen in 1980 as a small comic book bookstore in Cologne, it now sells its books worldwide. While rotating exhibitions are organized at the TASCHEN Gallery in Los Angeles, coordinated with the publishing program. TASCHEN is jointly managed by Benedikt Taschen and his eldest daughter Marlene Taschen.
