"Portrait Pen" is a fountain pen crafted from 18-karat white or rose gold, with a specially designed space on the body that can be decorated according to the client's wishes: with an image, portrait, or drawing. It is created by master artisans from Montegrappa, using traditional hand-engraving techniques with chisels.
This work requires rare artistic skills possessed by master engravers from Italy’s oldest writing instrument manufactory.
These exceptional craftsmanship artists fulfill the client's greatest wishes, reproducing intricate patterns, portraits, or drawings on a small surface of the pen's body with a chisel. The engraving at different depths is performed by outstanding goldsmiths, who skillfully transfer elements of the chosen design onto the surface of the pen.
Miniature decoration visible on a small surface constitutes the greatest value of this item.
The body and cap are engraved at different depths, making the decorated element chosen by the owner stand out against the gold background, creating a unique personal symbol. The cap also features a space where a dedication, phrase, or autograph of the owner can be engraved.
