The company's New York operations began in 2001 when Michael Mandapati decided to establish a different kind of company.
The rugs are made from raw materials such as Himalayan wool, mulberry silk, nettle, hemp, and linen. The main dyes used are plant-based, which will surely appeal to those who care about the ecosystem.
All products are crafted in Nepal, where highly trained workers produce them by hand. The rugs are then transported to Switzerland, where they are finished to achieve their final appearance. Thanks to increased lanolin content, they are softer, more stain-resistant, and have a beautiful sheen.
