These sheep graze at altitudes above 4200 meters above sea level, and their wool is rich in lanolin. This special feature makes OC rugs more resistant to stains.
Interesting shades are the result of manual processing and dyeing. Inspiration for the rug designs comes from a blend of Venetian fabrics, Tibetan and Buddhist symbols, art, architecture, and — as in this case — nature. Many patterns are inspired by tropical leaf shapes or the spectacle of the sun setting over the snowy peaks of the Himalayas.
All Odegard Carpets products are handcrafted from carefully selected silk and Himalayan wool yarns. The dyeing process is entirely natural. Organic materials such as nuts, roots, or saffron are used for dyeing, while maintaining the highest quality.
