The secrets and techniques of master glassmakers, combined with collaborations with Italy’s most renowned interior decorators and international designers over the years, have charted the success of many of their collections.

Brand Philosophy and Image

Today, Yalos Murano is a well-known brand with a tradition-rich glass production; offering furniture, style, and design for contemporary living, showcasing the versatility of glass and its many facets. Equipped with color and the most innovative lines, appreciating changing and fleeting light reflections of unique and one-of-a-kind objects, and the ability to connect personal identity with an object are the most immediate sensations of each of their creations.

Nomads yet deeply rooted in their origins, Ferro, after the devastating plague of 1630 that decimated the local population, including glassmakers, returned to Murano and soon became among the local elite as Deputies of the island, occupying this prestigious position 27 times during the 18th century.

Belonging to the local productive and vibrant elite, the Ferro family was part of the Gastaldi Major school of San Nicolò, which gathers artisans and master glassmakers and manages the glassworks. Furthermore, their coat of arms is engraved twice on the Osella, a coin minted by the Venetian mint specifically for the Murano community.

As if representing their dual nature, the Ferro family coat of arms features an anchor, symbolizing stability and connection to the land, and an irreplaceable tool of the comet used during voyages and adventures at sea. Descended from Leonardo Ferro, a skilled master, the Ferro Florian line includes important glassmakers from the late 19th century—productive and numerous—whose legacy continues today with glassworks bearing their name. Yalos Murano glassworks, through ongoing research and experimentation that have historically distinguished it in artistic glass production, now presents a new challenge: Murano glass panels of various sizes, changing colors, numerous decorations, and unique, valuable external combinations.
