The times we live in are characterized by increased consumption. As a consequence, the everyday items we use hold no value other than functional for us. Over the years, we often do not show the appropriate sentiment towards them, replacing them with newer models.

In complete opposition to this situation, the philosophy of Berti Knives, a manufacturer of exclusive knives for various purposes, stands. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, the family workshop seems to be entirely independent of the trends that have taken place worldwide over the years. Their main guiding principle is fidelity to tradition, which is still cultivated by the fourth generation of these excellent artisans.

The founders firmly reject the idea of mass production by unskilled labor, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity of the offered products. Therefore, their work philosophy places great emphasis on the employed staff. However, this does not mean that this Italian family is closed to any changes. They are very welcome, provided they bring elements consistent with the existing idea and can withstand long-term quality tests.

Unlike others, the individual stages of knife creation are not handled by specialized sections of artisans, but are often performed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
High-quality materials are used in production — blades are made of steel, and handles include materials such as bison, buffalo, and deer horns, as well as 'bosso' wood.

The owners encourage that, despite being designed for everyday use, their knives should be treated with proper respect, which guarantees their longevity. Each one is, after all, a small, unique artifact.
