World-renowned designers or the most famous fashion houses. On the other hand, sports brands highly valued by users. Apart from the attention to quality craftsmanship, theoretically, everything divides them, yet many choose to collaborate and merge both styles. Here are the most popular collaborations and incredible collections jointly created by fashion and sports brands.
The worlds of high fashion and sports are increasingly intersecting. Renowned luxury brands are more eagerly collaborating with sportswear manufacturers, with each side having its own goals. Enthusiasts and professional athletes are increasingly expecting training clothes to offer not only comfort and practicality but also an original appearance. Luxury brands, on the other hand, are looking for ways to reach a broader community. What are the most well-known collaborations? What is their outcome?
1. Adidas & Gucci
Sport, luxury, and retro style. This is the result of the collaboration between one of the world's largest sportswear manufacturers and one of the most renowned luxury clothing and accessories brands. The collection was jointly created by the German company adidas and the fashion house Gucci. The designs are primarily the responsibility of the Italian company's creative director, Alessandro Michele, who decided to combine the distinctive elements of both producers. These include the globally recognized three stripes, the trefoil logo, and the GG monogram. The collection includes shorts, bucket hats, bags, as well as dresses and the most famous shoe models, including the Gazelle variant loved by Michele. Additionally, there are exclusive loafers for both women and men, wedge shoes, and slides. Everything is kept in a retro style, featuring lots of colors with a predominance of browns and beiges, relaxed cuts, flared legs, and long socks.
2. Karl Lagerfeld X Puma
One of the most recognizable fashion designers in the world. Karl Lagerfeld was also a photographer and the artistic director of Chanel. He created perfumes and cosmetics for women. For a period, he also led the Italian fashion house Fendi, although most people associate him mainly with collections simply bearing his name. Puma, on the other hand, is another sportswear brand originating from Germany. Interestingly, its founder was Rudolf Dassler, the brother of adidas creator Adi. In 2018, Puma celebrated its fiftieth anniversary. On this occasion, its owners invited the famous Karl Lagerfeld to collaborate. The result was a collection named SUEDE 50, after the brand's most famous shoe model. In addition to them, it also included hoodies, pants, backpacks, shoulder bags, and caps. Most were adorned with playful graphics inspired by the designer's style, including tuxedos, white collars, and black sunglasses.
3. Fila & Fendi
Fila is a globally recognized iconic sports brand. It is not only a symbol of the highest quality products for physical activity enthusiasts but also an icon of streetwear style. It was founded in 2011 in Italy, initially providing equipment and clothing exclusively for mountaineers. Fendi, on the other hand, is a luxury fashion house from the same country, founded by the couple Adele and Edoardo Fendi. It is mainly known for producing handbags, shoes, and furs. The first Fendi store was opened in 1918 in the center of Rome. Interestingly, the logo for Fendi was designed by Karl Lagerfeld in 1965.
The joint collection of both brands was named Fendi Mania. It offers bomber jackets, tracksuits, and sports shoes, as well as coats, dresses, and furs. A common feature of all products is large logos, a trend of the current season.
It's worth remembering that Fila is also a producer of professional sports equipment, primarily skates, rollerblades, and skating accessories. Stylish models for children, women, and men can now be found in the sports store Sportano.
4. Supreme & Louis Vuitton
This is the most famous producer of luxury handbags and travel accessories. Products with the distinctive LV logo are loved by celebrities, sports stars, and famous actors. It is also the most frequently counterfeited exclusive brand in the world. It is estimated that only 1% of all handbags bearing the Louis Vuitton signature are original items from official distribution. Supreme is a brand from the United States, specializing in clothing and accessories for youth and skating fans. It also enjoys immense popularity in the hip-hop community.

The joint collection of Supreme and Louis Vuitton includes not only clothing and accessories but also suitcases and all travel accessories, and even skateboards. Although both brands are symbols of two completely different styles, their combination has been exceptionally well-received by users worldwide. The red color used by Supreme and the LV monogram, along with the use of the highest quality materials and natural leather, make the entire collection appear truly original. Whether the aesthetics have been maintained is, of course, a matter of taste. However, the collaboration certainly provided both brands with even greater publicity and interest, which was the goal all along.
