The history of the Sheaffer brand dates back to 1907, when Walter A. Sheaffer invented a refillable fountain pen in Fort Madison, Iowa (USA). His innovative vision and pioneering approach led to inventions such as Skrip ink (1922), the Touchdown filling mechanism (1949), and the integrated nib (1959).
