Odegard Carpets is a company that maintains the highest quality standards. This is due not only to selecting top-grade materials but also to a strong ecological awareness. This greatly influences the entire product creation process.
Odegard Carpets was established in 1987, revolutionizing the traditional weaving craftsmanship. They often use Himalayan wool sourced from local sheep. These sheep graze at over 14,000 feet above sea level, and their wool is rich in lanolin. This special property makes Odegard Carpets rugs more resistant to stains.
Vivid colors are the result of manual processing and dyeing. Inspiration for creating the rugs comes from a combination of Venetian fabrics, Tibetan and Buddhist symbols, art, architecture, and – as in the case of the Feather model – nature. Many patterns are inspired by tropical leaf shapes or the hues of the sunset over the Himalayan peaks.
All OC products are handmade from carefully selected silk and Himalayan wool yarns. Wool dyeing is a completely natural process. Only organic materials are used, such as nuts, roots, or saffron, while maintaining the highest quality.
