Description
Let's imagine that the interior architecture project of Design Studios in Hiroshima, Japan, brings nature into a boutique environment. Placing an infinite number of cardboard tubes in the store creates the sensation of walking through a forest or cave, recreating a unlikely organic experience in the heart of the city.
In the modern Wanderlust side table, various polished brass and walnut root tubes evoke the same artificial yet natural landscape in every luxurious interior space. The Wanderlust Side Table is part of the World Architects collection.
Malabar Factory, established in 2012, launched a wide range of decorative Fado guitars and the stylish World Architects furniture collection. It has designed and released a total of 5 exceptional furniture and accessory series.
Malabar has left its mark at the most prestigious international fairs, such as 100% Design London, Maison & Objet, Decorex, Stockholm Furniture Fair, or Seoul International. These are among the top venues for showcasing.
Malabar’s furniture production originates from the Porto area, in northern Portugal, a region with a long and strong tradition of handcrafted products.
The identity of this prestigious brand is rooted in the architectural and artistic heritage of the past five centuries.
International experience and a pursuit of perfection are the details that define such original companies. Emotions, handcrafted quality, and space-inspired design create an explosive mix of luxurious furniture.
Various techniques for creating products from natural wood produce incredible effects, as seen in Malabar’s exceptional collections. An important aspect of their design is the combination of neutral and black colors.
Vivid and striking hues dominate, significantly diverging from classic and stereotypical furniture.
Besides wood, the brand uses brass, gold and silver leaf, and other high-quality raw materials.
The Portuguese soul is very colorful and fascinating, clearly reflected in bold furniture designs.
The company’s name derives from the black pepper Malabar. Along with other spices, it changed the course of trade history with the discovery of the Cape. The value of original spices prompted Portuguese merchants to chart a daring sea route.
Even today, Malabar sets very individual design boundaries and evokes strong emotions with its projects. They are very liberated, seductive, bold, and extremely luxurious.
That is exactly the kind of products we love and introduce on the My Luxury Products platform.
